My Windows VM in Azure drops every ping. This taught me the difference between a network that is dead and one that is merely picky. Then I asked what happens when the web itself is the thing being filtered, and finally made octomon take IPv6 seriously.
Plane Wi-Fi is not broken
200 ms is a red flag at your desk and a good day at 38,000 feet. A connectivity monitor that cannot tell the difference is one you learn to ignore, including on the day it is right.
